Installing ASP.NET

You can install ASP.NET on Windows 2000 and Windows XP (for more information see aspnetneed.asp). Before you can do this you have to install Information Server of Personal Webserver. For the steps on how to do that, see Installing ASP.

When you have installed IIS or PWS, you can continu with installing of the .NET Framework, of which ASP.NET is a part of. So the first thing you have to do is het download .NET Framework (free). When you have downloaded the .NET Framework, installation is simple. Diuble-click the downloaded file dotnetredist.exe and follow the instructions.

Mind! To install .NET Framework and ASP.NET, the following has to be installed mininally:

1. Internet Explorer 5.01 (or higher)
   download Internet Explorer
2. Windows Installer 2.0 (or higher)

3. Microsoft Data Access Components 2.7 (or higher)
